Since its founding in 2002, the Carroll Symphony Orchestra has performed over 60 concerts and has premiered over 90 new works written specifically for the CSO. The CSO has a three part mission statement: 1 To enrich the lives of children through great music, education outreach programs, private instruction and the CSO Young Composer Competition. 2 To provide Carroll County with a professional orchestra, thereby enhancing the area’s attractiveness to current and future businesses and residents 3 To promote the creation and performance of new music.
