I have loved music since I first picked out Twila Paris' "Lamb of God" on my mother's piano as a toddler, and derive my greatest joy from sharing the joy of music with others. Like the man born blind in John 9, God has used my disability to display His mighty ability to provide all needs, overcome all obstacles, and turn all seemingly evil things to good. Blessed with His gifts musically and with the wonderful teachers he has provided throughout my life, I have been honored to have won numerous awards in both piano and organ, in local, regional, and national auditions and competitions. I've been honored to play for various groups such as at the National Convention of the American Council for the Blind, the State Convention of the Georgia Council for the Blind, State Conventions of the Lions Clubs of Georgia, the Center for the Visually Impaired 50th Anniversary Gala, the "True Blue Do" Benefit Gala for the Center for the Visually Impaired in Atlanta, and a number of local community groups, Lions' Clubs, senior citizen's groups, and churches. My high school Junior Recital gave me the opportunity to also request donations that helped raise $1500 for disaster relief for the victims of the North Georgia tornadoes of 2011. Now a graduate of Mercer University with a Bachelor of Music in organ, and a Master's degree from Georgia State University in Piano Pedagogy, I hope to use my talents in music to honor God and uplift my fellow man. My current work is in church music as Assistant Organist and Pianist with my home church of Berean Baptist in Lilburn, as well as teaching piano, teaching students to read music in Braille, and tutoring the visually impaired in basic computer and assistive technology.
